COUNTY CUP

Our adult county teams compete in two County Cup events every year.

LTA Summer County Cup, commonly known as 'County Week', is a 5 day event and is possibly the oldest tennis event on the
domestic calendar, dating back as far as 1895.

44 counties across the nation are divided into groups based on their results of the previous year’s event with Group 1 being the ‘premier league’. Teams compete against each other over the 5 days to see which team comes out as champions.  

Winter County Cup is a three-day weekend event which takes place at venues around the nation every year. 

The 44 counties are placed in 22 groups of four counties per gender. These groups are placed in order of the previous year’s results with
Group 1 being the ‘premier league’.
