The Year 7&8 and Year 9&10 competition gives schools the opportunity to enter Division 1 or Division 1.

DIVISION 1

For more experienced competition players.  The winner of each Division 1 has the opportunity to play on a regional and national level later in the year.

Division 1 Knockout Stage
Division 1 Regional Finals
Division 1 National Finals

DIVISION 2

The majority of teams compete in Division 2 in a localised league during the summer term only. Players have a limited amount of experience in competition and are of a recreational standard. A rating cap applies at Division 2 to provide more appropriate fixtures for teams involved.

Division 2 winners receive prizes and certificates from the LTA.

The local stages for Division 1 and Division 2 are organised by League Organiser Annie Smith who can be contacted by e-mail - annie.smith@dorsetlta.co.uk

The aim of this competition is to provide players with the opportunity to compete for their school and become the best team in the country. The winners of the National Championships win the Aberdare Cup (Girls) and Glanville Cup (Boys).

For all enquiries, please email schoolscompetition@LTA.org.uk

Fixtures are played from March through to June. Teams compete in a knockout stage, which leads to a four day national final.

Year 11 to 13 Competition

The aim of the Year 11 - 13 competition is to encourage recreational players to play competitive tennis and provide the team with an opportunity to compete in Regional Finals.

Entries are now closed for 2024/25. All teams that have entered will receive an email w/c 7th October 2024 with further information regarding the competition. Local league matches will be played between November and December. Winners of the local leagues progress through to the knockout rounds from January to February, with the Regional Finals taking place in March.
