Great team spirit and positive attitudes all round from our 10U girls and boys County Cup teams over the weekend with both teams finishing in 3rd place.
The girls faced tough competition from Hampshire & IoW and Surrey on day 1 but their determination shone through and on day 2, with some outstanding tennis, the team secured a convincing 5-1 victory against Wiltshire.
The boys had a nail biter first match on day 1 v S Wales which after 3 singles and 2 doubles 3rd set tiebreaks, went to a shootout. The boys fought hard with S Wales finally taking the win, 10-7. Second match up was against Berkshire, another hard fought match which went Berkshire’s way. Day 2, Dorset v Wiltshire, a solid performance from the team taking the win 5-1.
