Our 18U boys and girls teams were in action recently at 18U County Cup.
The boys in Group 3b, at Aldershot Tennis Centre, faced teams from East of Scotland, Berkshire, Norfolk. The girls battled it out in Group 2b at David Lloyd Club, Southampton taking on teams from Kent, Lancashire and Suffolk.
The girls started strong with a 6-3 victory over Lancashire on Day 1 followed by a convincing 7-2 win against Suffolk on Day 2. The team went into the last day up against a tough Kent squad in a promotion decider. They fought hard but Kent proved too strong on the day and took the win 5-3.
The boys suffered losses to Berkshire and East of Scotland on the first two days but with team spirit high, the team smashed it on Day 3 v Norfolk, securing a dominant 9-0 win, retaining their place in Group 3.
