Our 9U girls and boys teams were in action at County Cup, 25th and 26th March at David Lloyd Club, Southampton.
The girls event was on the Saturday. First match up was v Hants & Iow which was a very close fought match going to a tie-break shootout, narrowly won by Hants & IoW. With wins v Wiltshire and Sussex but losing to favourites and overall winners Kent, Dorset came 3rd in the Group.
The boys event on the Sunday also started with a close fought first match against Hampshire & IoW, narrowly losing out 4-2 having match point chances to take it to a tie-break shootout.
Second match of the day was against Kent who were the favourites of the day, demonstrated by a convincing win. However, the boys didn’t let this get them down and they came back stronger to beat both Sussex and Wiltshire in the final two matches finishing 3rd in their Group.
Both teams showed great team spirit and support for each other.
Very well done to both teams and thank you to the players, coaches and parents for your support.
