The Dorset Lawn Tennis Association (DLTA) is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Coach Representative to support the development of tennis in the County. The Coach Representative will work closely with the DLTA and local coaches to promote and develop tennis opportunities for players of all ages and abilities. In particular he will work to bring all coaches in Dorset together as part of the Dorset Tennis Team.
The new Coach Representative, Harry Lund, is a young tennis coach with a proven track record of success in promoting the sport at the grassroots level. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience, having coached players of all ages and abilities in both group and individual settings.
In his new role, Harry will be responsible for developing relationships with local coaches, identifying areas for improvement in tennis coaching and working with the DLTA to implement changes to better serve the tennis community in Dorset. He will also play a key role in organising coaching clinics and workshops to help coaches improve their skills and knowledge.
“We are delighted to welcome Harry to the Dorset LTA team,” said Richard Henshaw, Chair of the Dorset LTA. “His experience and passion for the sport will be invaluable as we work to promote tennis in the County and provide opportunities for players of all ages and abilities.”
Harry added: “I am thrilled to be taking on this new role and look forward to working with the DLTA and local coaches to help develop the sport of tennis in Dorset. Tennis is a fantastic sport that provides so many benefits to players of all ages and abilities, and I am excited to help promote it in our community.”
The appointment of a new Coach Representative is an important step for the Dorset LTA as it continues to work towards its goal of promoting tennis and increasing participation in the county. With Harry’s leadership and expertise, the Dorset LTA is well positioned to achieve this goal and provide tennis opportunities for players of all levels.
