Dorset’s Men’s O80s team travelled to Bath for their first Seniors County Cup match of the season v Avon.
With an exciting and dramatic few days leading up to the match with an out-of-the blue and completely unexpected last-minute team selection, the match couldn’t have been more melodramatic and full of suspense with twists and turns throughout the afternoon with Dorset prevailing in all four matches – but only just – with three championship tiebreaks in the four that were played! Stuart Turvey, Team Captain and chauffeur for the day, spent the afternoon on the edge of his seat cheering his team on to victory.
Heartiest congratulations to the team of Robert Coen and Giuseppe Flachi for their well-earned, hard fought victory and their never-say-die, determined resolve. The same applies to Tim Dean and Ralph Sibley who withstood a match point against to eventually come through victoriously.
