Junior padel is growing across Dorset, with more young players participating in and enjoying the sport. Dorset Tennis & Padel is committed to supporting the growth of junior padel by creating opportunities for juniors of all ages and abilities to get involved.
Our aim is to help young players develop their skills and, as opportunities arise, represent the county at tournaments and events. With friendly matches already underway and development sessions to be introduced in the future, we are making progress in building a pathway that supports junior progression while keeping the sport welcoming and enjoyable.
If your child is interested in trying padel or taking part at county level, please get in touch with Junior Team Captain, Luke Aggas - LM_AGGAS@HOTMAIL.COM - or complete the Dorset Team Selection Process Form, link below.
Dorset Juniors Lara and Morgan Make Padel History

Massive congratulations to Dorset juniors Lara and Morgan who made history at the weekend (23rd November) for winning the country’s first-ever 12U Grade 1 padel event which took place in Derby. An incredible achievement for two players who hadn’t played a competitive padel match before September.
Their rapid rise to claiming the highest-graded LTA title is a testament to their willingness to try something new, quickly learning the basic rules/tactics and having fun on court with friends. Now they are amongst the very best for their age in the country.
Dorset Tennis & Padel are extremely proud of everything our juniors have achieved throughout 2025 – playing, training and competing, and encourage girls and boys across the county to pick up a racket and give the sport a try.
Junior Padel Team Competes In First County Friendly

Our junior padel players were in action recently for their first team friendly match organised by Junior Team Captain, Luke Aggas.
Up against Winchester Racquets & Fitness Club, who kindly hosted the event, both teams – 10 juniors, boys and girls in each – battled it out through some challenging weather conditions!
The Team
Jack, Elliot, Samuel, Sienna, Nadine, Lara, Gil, Oscar, Tylor, Jayden
Lots of great padel was played with extremely close matches – five of the ten matches going to match tie-breaks!
Congrats to Winchester who edged the overall win 7–3, and a huge well done to Team Dorset for a brilliant performance and great team spirit throughout.
A fun day had by all.
Team Dorset is looking forward to heading to Bicester for their next friendly match on 30th November, with hopefully a Winchester rematch soon.
