Victoria Avenue’s Fundraising Open Day, with Bright Ideas for Tennis, began with a fantastic turnout, with attendees enjoying on-court coaching until the rain arrived and disrupted the fun!
Everyone headed for cover in the club house where they were treated to a fascinating Q&A session with ex Davis Cup players Dan Sapsford and Marcus Willis, a raffle and an array of delicious cakes while outside, thankfully undercover, the barbeque proved to be very popular. Unfortunately, the rain didn’t let up and the remainder of the day’s activities had to be postponed but undeterred, Open Day Part 2 has been pencilled in for Sunday, 8th October.
